To satisfy a chocolate craving and as an alternative to sugar-laden ice-cream and desserts – Try this easy-to-make Raw Cacao Mousse. Cacao is with good reason the most popular superfood – It is tasty and has a high concentration of nutrients, rich in anti-oxidants and many needed minerals like: Magnesium, iron, zinc and manganese.
RAW CACAO MOUSSE Recipe, Servings 1 or 2 small
I N G R E D I E N T S :
- 1 cup avocado
- 2 tablespoons – 1/4 cup maple syrup (depending on desired sweetness)
- 2 tablespoons coconut oil
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon shoyu or sea salt
- 1/2 cup raw cacao powder, sifted
- 1/2 teaspoon balsamic vinegar, optional
Place ingredients, except for cacao into Vita-Mix, blend until smooth. Add sifted cacao powder (this extra step avoids lumps). Blend on low increasing speed until combined. Divide into individual serving dishes. Enjoy cooled. If desired, decorate with fresh raspberries, cacao nibs or desiccated coconut.
