Cacao Spice Balls
Ingredients
- 1 cup pecans or walnuts
- 3/4 cup raisins or dates (Medjool works best)
- 2 tablespoons organic coconut oil (cold-pressed)
- 2-3 tablespoons Shakti Cacao powder
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- pinch sea salt
- pinch cayenne (optional)
- 1 teaspoon organic vanilla Extract
Instructions
- Using a food processor fitted with the S blade, start by finely grinding the nuts until they reach a crumb-like texture.
- Add the remaining ingredients to the processor and pulse until everything is well combined. The mixture will be slightly sticky.
- Turn off the machine and use a tablespoon to scoop out portions of the mixture. Roll each portion into a ball using your hands.
Note: The flavor possibilities are endless and open to your creativity! You can experiment with additions such as ground cardamom, freshly grated or ground ginger, fennel seeds, peppermint extract, orange extract, or even ground coffee. Start with small amounts, as spices and extracts can be quite potent.
