Śirodhāra Treatment

60-minute treatment

The following guidelines ensure that you receive the most benefits from your shirodhara treatment.

Pre Treatment:
• Please arrive in as a relaxed state as possible, well hydrated.
• You will arrive at the time of appointment, we (you and I) will refrain from talking, and only address things pertaining to treatment.
• Please use the restroom if needed.
• To prepare your mind-body for the shirodhara treatment, your entire body will first be oiled for 45, followed by 30 min of shirodhara and 10 minutes of relaxing after.

What to bring:
• An old sarong or towel to use for your oily hair following treatment.

Post Treatment:
• The sarong or towel that you bring will be wrapped gently around your head. Refrain from vigorously drying your hair, instead gently pad. Wash out after 2 hours. Add shampoo to the hair first and then rinse, this may need to be repeated.
• You will leave the treatment room without us engaging in chatter.
• The body should not immediately be exposed to wind or cold.
• The body-mind is very permeable at this time, refrain from chatter including cell phone, radio etc. and instead seek places of calm and serenity.
• Light digestible food is recommended and sipping hot water or herbal tea.

It’s important to note that with our current booking App, you’re not able to reschedule or cancel your appointment date nor time online. To do this, you will need to text or call our office to avoid being charged for your booked service. Please see policies below. Call (949) 735-5625 and we will do our best to accommodate you.

We understand that appointments may need to be changed or canceled. Due to the individualized nature of Ayurvedic treatments, we ask that you reschedule or cancel your appointment within at least 24-hours for Therapeutic Body Treatments including Abhyanga, Sirodhara and External Bastis; and within 6-hours for Consultations including Ayurvedic and Nutritional Consultations. 

If you do not cancel in advance, you will be charged 50% of your service price for missing your appointment with the form of payment you used when booking the appointment. If we can fill your spot with a client on our wait list we will not charge you.

No-Show Policy

We understand that appointments may need to be changed or canceled within the 24-hour notice. If you no-show without notice on the day of your appointment we will charge you 100% of your booked service price.

Late Policy

If you are 10 or more minutes late, we may ask you to reschedule your appointment so it will not affect our other clients. If we are unable to take you at the time you arrive, you will be charged for 50% of the service that you missed.
