Magnesium-packed Cacao Smoothie Bowl

Cacao Smoothie Bowl (Serves 1)

Ingredients:
  • ¼ cup cashews (soak for at least 2 hours, but best soaked overnight) 
  • ¼ cup pumpkin seeds 
  • 2 dates 
  • 2 tablespoons cacao powder 
  • 1 banana, frozen 
  • ¼ cup rolled oats 
  • 1 tablespoon ground flaxseed 
  • 1½ cups unsweetened almond milk (or non-dairy milk of choice)
Toppings: 
– Sliced almonds 
– Chia seeds 
– Cacao nibs 
– Desiccated coconut 
– Nut butter (e.g. cashew or almond) 


Directions:

    1. Blend ingredients in a food processor until mixture is smooth and creamy. 
    2. Adjust milk quantity until you get the desired consistency. 
    3. Pour into a bowl and garnish with sliced almonds, chia seeds, cacao nibs, desiccated coconut, and nut butter.
